CLEAR usesClinical Assessment
CLEAR can be used to assess the individual’s social risk factors as part of initial and ongoing assessments. CLEAR can be used to examine life stressors over the last 12 month period or on an ongoing basis and relate them to mental and physical health problems.
CLEAR can be used to identify students that are experiencing a high number of severe life stressors, which can have implications for university adaptation; academic outcomes; burn out; and longer term risk.
CLEAR is well adapted for studies of the general population since it can capture a wide range of events covering numerous domains including life events that may be related to work, crime, housing, education or significant relationships.
CLEAR is currently being used as a research tool in an ESRC funded research project investigating clinical and educational outcomes in a large clinical and student sample.
